This is a hotel go-to for Las Fraguas! Everything is nice, I really enjoyed it. - Make sure you stay in the double room with a nice view of the neighborhood. - Helpful and very welcoming staff as one would expect. - the location is stunning and near Santander and Cantabria. - Getting to the lake on foot takes 0 minutes.

The staff were great. The restaurant was excellent. Superb decor and facilities in the bedrooms and the hotel. Good village location - in beautiful valley, less than 1 hour from Santander port.

I greatly enjoyed this romantic and incredibly beautiful place. I had a large and neat room with central heating, a multi-channel television, and a writing desk.

I have stayed twice at this hotel and they accept dogs which is very helpful. It is close to luxury and the staff are very nice but only 2 office staff can speak English. The English cannot learn all European languages so it would be helpful if at least one waiter/ess could speak a few words of English. We were OK with Portuguese. The hotel is in a small village deep into the mountains and not easy to find in the dark but worth the finding as it is in a very pretty area and the hotel has nice grounds around the hotel. The food is good and the dining room large and nicely decorated.
The heavy rain and terrible wind! but there is nothing to dislike about the hotel and grounds. The rooms are nice and bathrooms nicely decorated.

Came here for 2 days, the hotel was romantic and wonderful, it had beautiful location just off Las Fraguas, El Valle de Iguña. Variety of food for breakfast, it was excellent. The staff were very amiable and competent up until the day we left.
Well, no restaurant.

Amazing pool, charming location. Delicious food at the elegant restaurant. Free WiFi and parking. Loved exploring Saja-Besaya Natural Park, Santillana del Mar Zoo, and Caves of Altamira.
Couldn't find a single flaw. Perfect place!

The room was very nice, especially the bathroom and bed, very comfortable!
The location isn't what you expect from the pictures, which gives the impression it is in a isolated location, it is not! The reception leaves a lot to be desired, in fact there wasn't one! It took us about 10 minutes to get any attention at the door which says "Reception". There is very little noise insulation, so it sounds like a herd of cattle when people walk past your door. I have to say I would not stay there again. Sorry.
